From the Eiffel Tower to the Sydney Opera House, there are many iconic attractions around the world that people long to visit at least once in their lifetime.

That being said, sometimes when we travel, we might just go sightseeing because that's what other tourists do when they're in the area, and for someone who really explores a place properly, it's almost a rite of passage.

Sometimes, we may not want to admit it, but we don't necessarily care about the culture or history behind a particular attraction; we just come to visit because everyone else does - other people are just too stuffy, tacky, boring or cliches.
